Email: Terry Eason
Terry Eason has earned a reputation as one of the Twin Cities’ top guitar players. His range of styles — including rock, folk, funk, reggae, metal, country, jazz, pop, classical, and avant-garde — has made him an in-demand player in recording studios and on stages for decades. He is also a prolific songwriter and composer. In 2011, he wrote and recorded a song every day of the year.
He was born and raised in Richfield, Minnesota. He grew up in a musical household and has been surrounded by music and instruments for as long as he can remember. As a 5-year-old he made up songs on the piano and named them after continents and countries (“Canada,” “India,” “Africa”). Now, as a father, he enjoys watching his two daughters discover the joys of music. He also, of course, enjoys sharing his knowledge and love for the guitar with students of all ages.
When not on the stage or in the studio, Terry teaches guitar at Music Go Round in St. Paul and privately in students’ homes. He is delighted to join the faculty of Yinghua Academy Conservatory of Music and share his passion for music with students.
