What is Multiple Measure Ratings?
In 2012, Minnesota was granted a waiver from the federal No Child Left Behind standards. In its place, Minnesota instituted a new multiple measures rating system (called MMR), intended to be a more fair and meaningful way of evaluating school success. ALL schools are given an annual Multiple Measurements Rating by the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE).
MMR consists of four measurements:
- Student Growth
- Achievement Gap Closure
- Graduation Rate
