Parents,
Your children have been working very hard on finishing up their biographies for the academic performance, which is on Wednesday, May 20th. Please have your child use this weekend to complete their biography. It is important that they finish every part before Monday. We will spend Monday and Tuesday working on the timelines and the artwork of their famous person. If your child has lost their biography packet, you can download a copy of it below this message:
Thank you and have a great weekend!

Hi Dear parents,
Recently we are preparing for the Academic Performance and we will do many kinds of different projects for different graders.
For 5th grade, we are making a fish tank.(Volume)
We will finish them during class time.
For 6th grade, we are making a paper ball.(sphere)
There is no dead line and specific size requirement for the ball. As I told them in the classroom before, it could be as easy as just 12 pieces and also could be as hard as 60 pieces. It is all about students’ choice. Some students already finished their yesterday and some students still have a lot pieces to be finished. If you find your student is too stressful, please feel free to stop him/her and email me to let me know about it. The project is more about understanding the connection between the surface area and volume of a sphere rather than just making a perfect ball.
Besides: students will not be scored by the size of the ball.
For 7th and 8th grade, we are making video tapes.
The video tapes are almost done, good job 7th and 8th graders!
