TRAVEL TEAMs (co-ed)
Our travel teams are for students in grades 5-8. These teams will play against other schools in a league called LIST. Practice is held here at Yinghua Academy. A typical week is two practices and one game. Games are either at Yinghua or other schools. Grades 5-6 play games on Wednesdays and grades 7-8 play games on Fridays.
IN-HOUSE LEAGUE (co-ed)
Our in-house league is typically for students in grades 3-6. In-house means that Yinghua students will play against each other. There are 8 weekday sessions and no traveling to nor playing against other schools.

*Cross Country Skiing: Yinghua Academy will combine with other schools for a ski program. Similar programming is offered through the Skiwerx program run by the Minnesota Youth Ski League . The Minneapolis Skiwerx group meets Mondays and Thursdays from 4:30 to 6 PM at Theodore Wirth Park. The season runs from late November through early March. Registration begins in October. At Yinghua Academy we believe that participation in athletics plays an important and valuable role in the social-emotional growth of students and also recognize the positive impact sports can have on student leadership and learning. In addition to teaching athletic skills, a successful sports program allows student athletes to foster friendships, develop confidence, teach sportsmanship and build self-esteem.
