2015 CNY Performance Tickets

The days are getting longer as the end of January approaches and, as many of you may already know, the dawn of one of the most important Chinese festivals will soon be upon us: Chinese New Year. Yinghua Academy celebrates this centuries-old traditional holiday by hosting what many parents can already attest to being an elaborate and extravagant school-wide performance. Teachers and students alike are bursting with excitement as they try on their costumes, begin rehearsals, and prepare for their New Year’s performances. With the recent expansion of our student body and the added effort, expertise, and expenses associated therein, we’ve decided to hire Bethel University to assist Yinghua with managing our ticket sales; thus there will be a cost for this year’s performances.

Tickets for this year’s performance are $5 per person (children who are small enough to sit in a lap do not require a purchased ticket) and will go on sale on January 30th on the Yinghua website or through the Bethel University Events page. Upon reserving a ticket, you will receive a confirmation email. Additionally, tickets may also be purchased at the door or by calling the Box Office (651-638-6333) Monday-Friday 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Tickets will be sold on a first-come-first-serve system and, to ensure fairness for all those who purchase tickets early, assigned seating will be provided by Bethel. If you or another attendee requires specific arrangements for those disabilities, please talk with the box office at Bethel to ensure your needs are met. All ticket sales are non-refundable and all unused tickets may be donated to the school by Wednesday, February 25th. Tickets will be mailed up until the week of the performance, February 20th, at 3:00 PM, after which point tickets can be picked up at will call. For those families who cannot afford the cost associated with purchasing tickets for their family, please contact our Business Manager, Jennifer Vanyo (jennifer.vanyo@yinghuaacademy.org). Note: All volunteers need to buy their own tickets.


  • Ushers do not need tickets/seats. Ushers will have chairs by their assigned doors.
  • Tickets pertain to seats, so if you have a child that will sit in an adult’s lap and not in a seat, then they do not need a ticket.
