5th and 6th had recorded the videos singing ” Jingle Bells” last week. They did a great job in singing, listening and sharing the joyful spirits with everybody.

The 6-8^th graders will be going on a Music field trip on November 9 to attend a Minnesota Orchestra performance celebrating 100 years of young people’s concert. This program will include “The Young Person’s Guide to Orchestra”, a great introductory study for students to learn about the orchestra, which the 6^th, 7^th and 8^th graders are currently able to experience at school.

We are getting a better rate of bringing the recorders. One of my expectation for music class is bringing the recorders so that students can experience playing music. 5th-8th graders had already purchased the recorders in the past few years. In the event that a student’s recorder has been lost or damaged, a $6 check may be brought to school for a new recorder.  The school keeps a small inventory of recorders ready so these students may be able to take home a new recorder the same day.
