Weather-Related School Closings

If Yinghua Academy is closed due to a snow or weather emergency, closing information will be posted on the YINGHUA ACADEMY Home Page (News & Events section) by 6:00 AM on the day of the closing.

Yinghua Academy’s Administration will monitor weather forecasts and conditions to ensure the school will be open only during safe transportation conditions.

Timelines:
4:30 – 5:30 am Monitor weather conditions; Consult with neighboring districts
5:30 am Deadline for decision
5:30 am Notify media outlets, Update phone greeting, Activate staff call list

6:00 am Closing Posted on YINGHUA ACADEMY Website and Facebook page

Other Notes:
If Minneapolis Public Schools are closed, Yinghua will be closed as well.

If Yinghua is not closed, but the schools in your home district are closed, your child can stay home and receive an excused absence that day. Use the Report an Absence form on our website or call the school to notify us.
